Dear Parents,
The First United Methodist Church Clark Child Development Center Weekday Program "CCDCW", is dedicated to providing quality care in a loving and educational environment.
Your child is very important to us at the First United Methodist Church. We want children to have nurturing, happy experiences while in our care. We will seek to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment so they can learn and develop in their own special ways.

Our Mission:
We strive to create a Child Development Center that is founded on Christian beliefs, and ministers to the needs of all God's children in a loving, nurturing environment with opportunities to grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and socially. A place where children can laugh, play, learn and feel safe.
Our Goal:
First United Methodist Church and the Clark Child Development Center are aware that each child is a person with unique needs and interests. We believe children need a loving, caring atmosphere that encourages growth, exploration, development, and interaction with others and their environment. Our goal is to offer quality care and creative programs that are developmentally appropriate for children.
Curriculum:
We use Creative Curriculum for infants and toddlers. Materials appropriate for their age and stage of development will be availble. The Wee Learn Curriculum is designed for our two year olds, offering a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities. The Scholastic Pre-K Curriculum is used for our three and four year olds. This curriculum promotes learning in areas of art, math, science, and music through special interest units.

Our Childcare/Pre-school accepts 6 months of age through 5 years.
1) Choose from 3 enrollment options:
(Must pay for all days enrolled)
5 days (Mon. - Fri.)
3 days (Mon., Wed., Fri.)
2 days (Tues., Thurs.)
2) Early drop off available (7:45)
3) Extended Care available (3:00 - 5:30)
($5.00 additional charge per day)
4) Our daily schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30-3:00. The CCDCW follows the Texarkana Arkansas School Schedule. When they are closed, we are closed. You do not pay for days the CCDCW is closed.
5) Registration Fee: $100.00
Semester Supply Fee: Due Aug. and Jan.
Summer Supply Fee: Posted in May

Please fee free to discuss wih the director or your child's teacher anything that will help us understand your child better. The following is a list of helpful hints and important reminders that will help make each day a positvie experience for your child.
- Allow ample preparation time each morning so that your child will not be hurried.
- Arrive by 8:30 each morning. This allows children the full benefit of learning and participating in the lessons and activities prepared for each class.
- Be sure your child eats breakfast prior to arriving each morning.
- Eagerly look at things your child brings home, and proudly display his/her creations in a prominent place.
- Mark you child's coat, cap, sweater, lunch, kit, cups, blankets, diaper bag, or any other item your child may bring.
- Talk with your child about his/her teacher, the other boys and girls, and events of their day.
